Six Six is one of the team working on the construction of the Equiano Centre. He sets out belwo his experiences of the pojrect so far:
The labourers of the Equiano Centre are thankful to CODEP for providing jobs and learning opportunities.
Since starting the job labourers have gained new construction ideas and learned skills in blocklaying and carpentry through practical and theory lessons.
There have been a few difficulties but these have been overcome through our courage and zeal to complete the work for our community and the country. The labourers give a big hands praise to Mr Philip and our bosses as they always encourage us to work well.
Work is going well and there are no problems on the site. The labourers would appreciate the opportunity to further their learning through reading technical books.
Amongst the workers there is a new member of the team, Harriet, she is the first female to work on the site.
As time goes we hope more will join us.
